AUDITION for the new play A FORTUNATE MAN by A. S. Maulucci about the life of dissident Chinese artist Ai Weiwei which will be given a staged reading or full production in late October, 2011 in Teatro Santa Ana, La Biblioteca, San Miguel de Allende, to be directed by Jim Newell

• Audition will be held in early October
• Needed: 7 principal actors, 3 women and 4 men, ranging in age from early 20’s to mid 50´s. The lead part of Wen Wei Ling is cast; he is an internationally renowned artist in his mid 50’s who has been charged with subversion by the Chinese government for his published accusations of  political corruption.
• Time period of the play is the present; location is an island off the coast of China.

Actors will be paid by a profit sharing arrangement after deductions for expenses. We hope to find dedicated individuals who not only love the art of the theatre but are at least interested and possibly highly enthused about helping to develop new plays.
